2026 begins! Announcing the first AUM Winter Series event on Saturday 13 June with a progressive psytrance showcase.

Last year we held 3 Winter Series warehouse parties, each showcasing one of our festival stages and their sounds and atmosphere. All of them were sellout events and we wanted to up the ante for 2026 by bringing you some bucket list artists we have admired for a long time.

To start 2026 we welcome progressive psytrance mega talent Phaxe, from Denmark. He is well-known as a master of the “morning” progressive sound. Over the last 2 decades he’s helped define the sound of the Spintwist and Iboga labels alongside artists like Neelix and Day.Din which has seen the appeal of psytrance grow significantly worldwide.

We are super excited to bring him to New Zealand for the first time. He’ll be treating us to an extended set on the same pristine Adamson sound system as heard at AUM Festival.

The night will be a good old-fashioned psytrance party which spans a few subgenres of the psychedelic realm across the night through the local support by local talents Froggman, Vness, Neurai and Ferksta.

ABOUT THE AUM WINTER SERIES
AWS events are showcases of the sounds and decor seen at AUM Festival over new years. They’re a chance for people to see what AUM is all about and for our festival community to reconnect during the year. Last year we held 3 amazing events that brought people together under the banner of music.

Each event was co-designed by our stage takeover teams and ourselves, and they looked, sounded, and felt incredible. So we thought we’d do it again, but a little differently this year so we can blur the genres a bit in the spirit of how AUM brings people from different scenes together.

We have some special treats lined up for you lovelies and we’re so excited for this first event and new years too which is already sure to be something special. We think we’re going to blow your mind. Actually… we know we will.

The venue is an industrial warehouse location perfect for parties. It’s located about 15 minutes from the CBD. We’ll release the location the night before the event.

SHOWCASE: PHAXE (DENMARK)

Phaxe – the musical project of Danish producer Kevin Josefsen – has been shaping the progressive and psytrance landscape since 2007. Known for his seamless blends of atmospheric melodies, crisp grooves and emotional depth, Phaxe turns every set into a story – one that pulls dancers into flow and keeps them there.

His music doesn’t just move bodies, it touches hearts, evoking emotions and sometimes even a tear of pure connected bliss.

With 150+ releases on renowned labels like Iboga Records and Spin Twist Records as well as his own co-founded label Magic Moments Records along with countless performances at major festivals worldwide such as Universo Paralello, Tomorrowland, Indian Spirit, Fusion and Rainbow Serpent, he’s earned his place among the scene’s most respected and soul-stirring artists.

Joining Phaxe will be AUM Festival co-owner DJ Ferksta, longtime AUM resident DJ Froggman, and Vness and Neurai who are two talents who have been making waves in the NZ psychedelic party scene in recent times.

The AUM Winter Series will be a visually and sonically spectacular events of Auckland’s winter.
