MUSIC LINEUP

Welcome to the first music lineup for AUM new year’s 2026. This is just the start – we have legends of the Aotearoa electronic scene, international genre pioneers, and emerging Kiwi talent. Our commitment to “music for music lovers” is in this lineup – and made with love by people with a personal passion for music.

Some of our favourite artists are coming to AUM, many on their first ever visit to our shores. Over 3 days and nights our stages will be brimming with the most spectacular talent we could muster. A few highlights include:

HOUSE/TECHNO
Australian disco re-edit maestro Late Nite Tuff Guy plays opening night alongside Dutch/US techno duo Sterac & Lady Starlight who play a full live set, followed by Aussie techno pioneer DJ HMC whose techno anthems in the 90s were played by the biggest DJs on the planet. Kiwi disco and boogie master Frank Booker plays one of the festival closing sets too. We also have special guest Gat Decor flying in from the UK, a name many of you will know from the iconic rave track “Passion”, ranked at number 22 on Mixmag’s list of “100 Best Dance Singles of All Time”.

Sterac is also playing a deep house and dub-infused techno set on the Kānuka stage under his Parallel 9 moniker.

PSYCHEDELIC/PSYTRANCE
Psychedelic trance artists Merkaba (Aus), Guiseppe Parvati (DK), S-Range (SW) bring our biggest new years psy showcase yet. They’re joined by psytrance pioneer Laughing Buddha (UK) whose career goes back to the early days of Goa Trance. Kore-G (Aus) returns for another year after wowing everyone last summer, and Saija (Fin), Nikki Sig (Aus), Vivaek (Aus), Psymon (Aus), Tom Baker (Aus), OM River (Aus) bring their talents, while Kalya Scintilla is on the chill side of psychedelic. Local stars Sharkra, Ferksta and more.

BASS/DRUM-N-BASS
Paige Julia & Friends is a fresh idea for Bass Day on 1st Jan. Paige is curating the day with her favourite local talent. You can be sure there will be some WOWS with what she has planned on the main stage. Kiwi dub/drum-n-bass pioneer The Nomad is bringing his full live show. We also have Don Lemon, SLAPS, Qveens, Sumthn Ethnic, Kayes, HEXIIS and more.

LOCAL LEGENDS
The Aotearoa electronic scene has pioneers who crafted their sound long before it was popular or there were big rewards. It’s our mission to showcase them each summer. This year we have the highly popular Black Wax vinyl event bringing their event to AUM. House and techno scene trailblazers Greg Churchill and Andy Vann will play an extended vinyl set on opening day. We also have Bevan Keys opening our main stage at sunset on opening night – reliving the best vibes of his legendary Groove in the Park sets. Plus Frank Booker, Rob Warner and Out of Sorts and more.

LIVE ACTS and TRIBUTE SHOWS
The Nomad is bringing his full live blend of dub, reggae, house, jungle and drum & bass to the big top circus tent.

Push Push, Kiwi party rock icons from the early 1990s, are back for their first festival performance in years in the year their rock anthem ‘Trippin’ turns 35. Gareth Thomas (Goodshirt), Alya Jade and more

We also have two epic tribute shows, the highly regarded After Evermore Black Sabbath tribute, and the Discovery Daft Punk Tribute performing Daft Punk’s greatest hits with full visuals and costumes.

TAKEOVER STAGES

Two of our stages are curated by longtime partners. The Hill stage by Science of Sound, and the Kānuka Stage by Lo-Fi Productions.

The HILL is our epic ‘bush doof’ vibe stage. Each year it cranks up the pace with harder, faster sounds of the underground spanning psytrance, full-on, dark psytrance, future prog, drum and bass, breaks, bass music, glitch-hop, dub and more. It’s a ravers paradise.

The Kānuka Stage is like a nightclub in a forest where you can lose yourself to some of the finest underground house and techno sounds by DJs from Aotearoa and some special international guests.
