PERFORMANCE
From the hypnotic fire circle next to the White Stag stage, energetic gogo dancers, and surprise roving artists just around the corner, the AUM site is alive with performance. And that’s before we get to the shows!
We are thrilled to have Suzy Cato as a returning part of the AUM whānau, with a show that is guaranteed to warm your heart no matter your age.
Each year AUM bookends our festival with two show-stopping cabaret offerings. Once your tent is up and your sunscreen’s on, check out the tamariki-friendly Gala Cabaret, hosted under the big top tent of Circus Aotearoa. Some of the country’s finest circus and variety artists have gathered on one stage to delight and entertain your whole family.
Then we close out our final night with the jewel of the festival, The Midnight Cabaret. You’ll have to be in quick to get your spot in the front row. This show is a riotous collision of circus, burlesque, sideshow, comedy, and risque chaos. What better way to see in your new year?
This year AUM is pleased to be partnering with Spark & Flare to coordinate our performance artists. Based in Te Whanganui-a-Tara, this crew have years of experience delivering high-quality performances and one-of-a-kind shows to events festivals across the country. We can’t wait to see what surprises we have in store this summer!

WHAT PEOPLE SAY ABOUT AUM FESTIVAL
“Awesome experience: the camping, art, stages, workshops and shops. The music was amazing and full of great people. This was my first time, I’ll be back again!” (Lisa, via Facebook)
“Went last year for the first time and bought tickets for this year as soon as we were able. It was an absolutely magical experience for my family. Such a safe and welcoming environment to introduce our teenage daughters to the world of festivals.” (Kathryn, via Facebook)
“This was one of my absolute favorite festivals during my time living in NZ. I’m so happy to have been introduced to this amazing community through my partner who has been attending AUM since its debut year. It was full of great workshops and interactive activities. I can’t wait to attend again in the future.” (Stephanie, Google Review)
“I love what these guys do. They make it all about the happy people, family and inclusive vibes, non commercial, hot showers, zero waste policy, so much art everywhere, immersion and in nature. 3 days for camping, chilled days watching circus arts and partaking in yoga, barefeet wandering, costumes, dancing and getting away from city life.” (Shaki, Google Review)
