FESTIVAL LINEUP 2025
FINAL ARTIST ANNOUNCEMENT: 18 NOVEMBER
Our final music lineup is out (18 Nov) and we have added a bunch more fantastic musical talents to new year’s. We have some of the most fun artists we could find across the genres to complete what we think is the best new year’s lineup we’ve brought you.
Over 100 artists will perform on 4 stages over 3 days and nights. We have top local talent and international icons. This year we have some Kiwis doing amazing things on the global stage coming home to join us.
FINAL LINEUP ADDITIONS INCLUDE:
ELVIS tribute artist Mike Cole takes you to an era when rock and roll was at its purest. Mike was the “International Elvis Artist of the Year” in 2023 at the largest Elvis festival in Europe. His show at AUM will be a must-see experience as he performs the biggest hits by The King of Rock and Roll.
SUNCONTROLSPECIES is Australian progressive trance veteran who was a pioneer of the sound in the late 1990s when his music was being played at outdoor gatherings globally. This is his first appearance at AUM and he’s bringing a stack of exclusive music with him.
SPOONHEAD is one of our favourite live psytrance artists. He’s been a mainstay of the psychedelic techno, progressive psy and breaks genre in NZ for a long time and brought his live sets to some of the best festivals across Australia and NZ.
SUZY CATO returns to AUM with her magical daytime live show where everyone’s favourite songs from their childhoods become interactive group fun to start the day off with a smile! Suzy’s show has been a total hoot each time so don’t miss this.
NORTH SHORE PONY CLUB introduce their “history of disco” set. Disco brothers Matt and Aaron Pony bring their award-winning 95bfm show to AUM, a funky blend of low brow, hi-fi hedonism which has seen them play alongside Crazy P, Horse Meat Disco, Pet Shop Boys and Jordan Luck.
MOJO FILTER is a musical performer known for cinematic, high-energy sets that blend psychedelic bass, cosmic disco, and world grooves. His immersive journeys lift crowds from sunrise sessions to peak-time eruptions through the psychedelic realm.
It doesn’t stop there either. The full additions are on the top banner but, notably, there’s indie rock artist Mim Jensen; the dynamic live percussion and synthesis Afrohouse experience by Those Who Love; and Grouch who adds a psychedelic DJ set to the Grouch in Dub set he’s also bringing.
These additions join the super lineup we announced last month which included global pioneers in their sounds: FreQ Nasty (breakbeat/dubstep), Dave Seaman (progressive house), as well as home-grown Minuit and DJ Fuckoff who is crushing her gigs in Europe and North America.
THE FIRST LINEUP DROP
MINUIT. Iconic Kiwi live electronic artist Minuit will be performing their only new year’s festival with us, and their first festival in more than a decade.
FREQ NASTY is one of Aotearoa’s great electronic music exports, and a global pioneer of the breakbeat sound. Since the 1990s he’s produced across the dubstep and drum and bass realm and has had records out on leading labels like Skint Records (alongside Fatboy Slim, X-Press 2…)
DJ FUCKOFF is a Kiwi doing big things internationally. Based in Europe she’s become a staple in the Berlin bass scene known for provocative lyrics and energy-laden music. She’s been smashing raves throughout North America and Europe, including Tomorrowland on the Core stage.
DAVE SEAMAN (UK) has been a leading name in progressive house since the mid 1990s, and he’s considered one of the BIG 5 (alongside Sasha, John Digweed, Nick Warren and Hernán Cattáneo). He’s mixed some huge progressive compilation CDs for Global Underground and Renaissance and done countless tours – recently wowing all at the Balance Croatia festival.
DJs Z-CAT (RU) and MEGAPIXEL (Aus) are two special psytrance talents performing for us for the first time. They’re both rising stars who regularly perform at some of the biggest psy festivals around the world.
FLAMINGO PIER make their AUM debut. Their music is a signature live disco, Latin funk and house sound which evolved from their legendary Flamingo Pier parties often held on Waiheke Island. They’ve toured extensively abroad, playing festivals and have collaborated with artists like Nathan Haines, Kédu (from Kédu Carlo)
JAMIE STEVENS (Aus) was half of the Aussie trendsetting artist Infusion in the 2000s, the golden era of progressive house. Infusion were famous for their live sets and remixes of Bjork, Icehouse, Kate Bush, and Adam Freeland, and ARIA Award-winning productions. Now a solo artist, Jamie has released dozens of records and DJed extensively, including the recent Balance Croatia.
THE UPBEATS are a dynamic bass music duo Hailing from Wellington. They’re one of the country’s most accomplished DJ/production teams with a speaker rattling sound that has seen them perform at Glastonbury, Shambhala and Boomtown. Currently on tour in Europe, they’ll be back for their debut at AUM.
